Everything you're wondering. The FAQ.
The questions I get most, answered honestly. If yours isn't here, please ask. You're not bothering me, promise.
Booking & Pricing
-
Send me a note through the contact page (or DM me on Instagram, that counts too). We'll chat about what you're picturing, I'll answer any questions, and once we've picked a date, a signed agreement and retainer lock it in.
Mini sessions can be booked using this link.

Weddings: the sooner the better, ideally 6 to 12 months out, since popular dates go first.
Portrait sessions: a few weeks is usually plenty, except fall, when many want foliage at golden hour. For fall, try to reach out by late summer.
-
Because your time matters. I'd rather you know exactly where things start before you ever reach out. Every session and collection is listed on the Investment page, no mystery, no "inquire for rates."
The Photo Session
-
You're some of my favorite kind of clients. Almost everyone says this, and almost everyone forgets the camera is there within a few minutes.
I'll guide you with prompts instead of poses, make some questionable jokes, and keep things moving. Awkward is the starting line, not a problem.
-
Earth tones and neutrals photograph beautifully: creams, beiges, sage, dusty rose, soft browns. Avoid big logos and neon. Once you book, I'll send styling guidance and I'm always happy to look at outfit photos before the session.
-
Please do! Leashed, and ideally with a second human who can wrangle them for the non-dog portions. Some of my favorite photos have a pup mid-zoomies in them.
-
They won't, at some point, and that's fine. Meltdowns, snack breaks, and bribery are all part of the plan. The candids that happen around the chaos are usually the frames you'll love most.
Sessions with young kids are built with wiggle room on purpose.

All over Connecticut, with travel throughout New England and the north east for weddings and sessions.
I have a list of favorite parks, farms, and golden-hour spots, or we can use somewhere meaningful to you.
Lifestyle newborn sessions happen in your home.

Yes, The Legacy Collection package includes the option for a second photographer, which is wonderful for big guest lists or when getting-ready is happening in two places at once.
-
It depends on your collection: The Essential includes 300+ edited images, The Signature 600+, and The Legacy 800+. Every image you receive is hand-edited.
The Photo Gallery
-
For weddings, your full gallery arrives within 6 to 8 weeks, but you won't wait that long to see something: sneak peeks land within 24 hours, so you'll have photos to share before the leftovers run out. Elopements and all other sessions are back in 2 weeks. Every image is hand-edited, which is where the time goes, and why it's worth it. Your full gallery arrives ready to download, share, and print.
-
Yes, print rights come with every gallery. Print the big ones, frame them, put them on holiday cards.
-
Every image in your gallery is hand-edited, individually. It's a big part of why the galleries look the way they do, and why I'll never hand over a folder of unedited files.
Ask me anything.
Seriously. Odd questions, specific scenarios, "is this even possible" ideas. I read everything myself.
