HI, I’M KARLA, WELCOME
Most of my sessions start with a few nervous laughs and end with people wondering why they were ever worried. I’m a Connecticut photographer for anyone who wants photos that feel natural, relaxed, and like themselves. I love shooting throughout New Haven County, from the shoreline in Guilford and Madison to the wooded trails, open fields, farms, and charming town centers in places like Cheshire, Woodbridge, and Southbury.

We may start as strangers, but it won’t feel that way for long.
Feeling awkward in front of the camera is completely normal. I’ll guide you when you need it, make a few bad jokes, and give you space to move, laugh, and settle in. Somewhere along the way, you stop thinking about the camera, and that’s when the most natural photographs happen.
I care deeply about this work because I know how much a single photograph can come to mean. I would rather help you preserve more of this season than have you look back and wish you had made the time.
One of my favorite things about photographing New Haven County is how much variety there is within a relatively small area.
Along the shoreline, towns like Guilford, Madison, Branford, and Milford offer coastal scenery, historic greens, beaches, and some beautiful wedding venues. Farther inland, places like Cheshire, Woodbridge, Bethany, Oxford, Southbury, and Middlebury give us wooded trails, open fields, farms, gardens, and that classic New England landscape.
Your session doesn't have to happen somewhere elaborate. Sometimes the best location is your own backyard, your favorite park, your home with a brand-new baby, or somewhere that already means something to your family.
